Actually, I don’t have just one favorite shoe. It depends a lot about season, weather, occasion and what clothes I wear. But let’s just narrow it to a regular day during the workweek in the rather cold and wet days in the Netherlands. That makes the choice a lot easier and brings it back to two shoes. Both are -how surprising- black.

1. The black knee length boots: With it’s heel height of around 3¼ inch (8 cm) this is an easy boot to wear. The soft leather gives me the warmth for the cold outside. The boot is easy to match with a skinny jeans, (wide) trousers, legging, skirt or dress.

2. The classic black pump: With it’s heel height of 4 inch (10 cm) this is a very sophisticated dress pump. The round toe makes the shoe just a bit more comfortable. Also this shoe is very easy to match with all kinds of clothing.

In relation and response to comments made to the previous Question of the Day: No, I won’t sell or give away my used shoes. The reason for that is I don’t want to turn this blog into some kind of fetish website. It’s sometimes already hard enough to throw shoes away, that really hurts sometimes. Selling or giving away would make it even harder.

I don’t have a real large shoe-addict collection. It’s about 60 pairs. Reason for this is quite  practical. I’m living in a rather small house. I don’t have more space to store the shoes in a decent way. That means also I have a rigorous clean-up shoes policy. Shoes which are worn out or not fashionable anymore disappear into the waste bin.

Good question! Well, there are a couple of reasons for that.

1. My love for high heels.
2. I’d like to express my feminity. Wearing high heels is a very good feature for that.
3. It makes my legs and poisture more attractive. (makes me feel sexy)

I’m not going higher than about 5 inch / 12-13 centimeter. I can walk pefectly on this height. Going higher does give me some problems. Platforms can of course compensate the height of the heel, but that’s not the point. I’m talking here about the real height. To be honest, higher heels are not my prefered taste.

Ballets however I like tho. I’ve tried walking in ballets once, but couldn’t. Would love to try again. I’ve seen once a girl in a video who could without much problems. Very impressive.
