A German company is going to try (again) with some kind of protection around the (stiletto) heel. It’s called Heaven on Heels. Main purpose is to prevent damage and helping to retain balance when on bumpy or uneven surfaces which is also known as the battlefield for heels.
We have seen this before. A small cap around the heel. Now it’s not a piece of clear plastic, but two models in several colors. A classical one which looks the most to the High Heeler and a ring model.
I’ve tried the High Heeler a while ago. Well, to be honest. I bought a set and I think I still have it unopend in my purse. For me it’s just to prevent my heels in the unlikely event I have to cross a (heels) battlefield. It’s a bit clumsy and ugly. I don’t think it will become a trend.
Heaven on Heels can be obtained via a German website. Unfortunately most of the site is in German, despite the English language button.
Stiletto’s always have enemies in de pavement jungle. Grass, grates, cobblestones and more variations are waiting quitely for a nice fresh pair of stiletto’s. Most of the time you are avoiding that enemy by wearing another type of shoe which can’t be ‘eaten’ by the enemy. But sometimes you have to face it in unexpected situations. Solemates, a US based company has found a weapon to protect your beloved stiletto heel, a High Heeler™. It’s a small cap which is place around the tip of the heel.
I have had a couple of unexpected situations. Walking only on the ball of your feet looks very clumsy. But this little cap is also not looking very attractive. However, I think I would buy it. Just only for crossing the battlefield.
Yep, that’s how it’s called: Heelskinz. This is the first part of the today’s press release.
Heelskinz, LLP announced today that they have developed a unique product for the women’s shoe industry; Heelskinz™ High Heel Shoe Protector. The shoe accessory will help to solve a costly problem where the backs and heels of women’s shoes are damaged as they rub against carpet and floor mats while driving a vehicle. Because women invest a large amount of money on shoes, it is logical that women will want to protect them.
This is not new. I’ve seen similar heel protectors and none of them work. Well, they do protect the heel, but can also give very risky situations when for whatever reason the heel loses the protector. I wouldn’t spent $20 on it.
