Compared to the previous creation I’ve seen from Camilla Skovgaard this is an improvement. A great improvement in fact. But oops… Somewhere down the designroad she got out of control with the platform on these pumps. At first too high I guess and when trying to scrape off a bit, she has used a saw. The result… Well, make your own verdict. I made mine.
Do I really need a pair of glasses now? I’ve got a double vision here which gives me a headache. Focussing a bit better, now I see it. It’s this Gianmarco Lorenzi Double platform shoe which has a double platform, hence the name.
Adding the extra platform layer makes this shoe having a very high platform of 1½ inch (3,5 cm). What a pity, without the double platform this might be a very nice shoe.
Last Friday Christian Louboutin has released the Spring/Summer 2010 collection. Bright colors, animal prints, extermely high heels, platforms, but also flats are the most eyecatching ones. I picked out a few beauties. The whole Spring/Summer 2010 collection shoes and bags can be found at the Louboutin website.
Shoes with such a massive transparent platform are in my opinion cheap stripper heels. Because of the very high platform almost unable to walk in a decent feminine way. This kind of heels should not be expected by a top designer like Fendi. I wouldn’t also call this shoe cheap when it costs € 855.
Thanks Marieke for the link!
This looks like a shoe which is designed by someone who have the simple principle in mind: Bigger is better. With it’s mega platform of 2¼ (5.5 cm) this a monster (in a bad way). The addition of the chains around the heel gives extra attention to the platform. That makes it even more worse. I’m unable to find a tiny little piece of feminity in this shoe. Not suitable for a fashionata in my opinion.
