Do you remember the Manolo Blahnik Something blue pumps worn by Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) in SatC: The movie? If you -like me- also like this pump very much, you probably also know there is almost an identical much cheaper pump available: The Martinez Valero Zenith pump. Now, this pump is also available in other colors. Does that make this shoe a Something black, Something white or Something Ivory pump?
The Museum of Footwear in the Italian city of Vigevano has organized an itinerant exhibition which is shown in the Museo del Traje. CIPE in Madrid, Spain, charting the history of footwear with stilettos as the star. It includes creations by top labels such as Prada, Manolo Blahnik, Christian Louboutin or Jimmy Choo.
The exhibition runs already for a while and will be until August 30. So, if you’re in the neighborhood this summer holiday, make a detour to the museum.

In Antwerp, Belgium LXP Fashion Renting has started to rent exclusive designer shoes for € 35 per day. Only condition: Bring the shoes back in a properly state. LXP did already rent cocktaildresses etc. But shoes is something new.
At this time only some Nina Ricci models are available. But LXP will start expand the collection with Christian Louboutin and Manolo Blahnik.
The New York fashion week has some shoe problems this time. Earlier this week models slipped and fall down on the runway during the Hervé Léger show. This time the models took the Manolo Blahnik shoes off during the Brian Reyes show to prevent falling.
