According to the leading fashion magazine Vogue, high heels are so passé. Last month there was already an article in Vogue written by Andre Leon Talley claiming high heels are “towering torture chambers”. Now, first lady Michelle Obama and even the queen of high heels addicts Anna Wintour has been seen without heels.
I always thought Michelle Obama didn’t wear high heels because of her length. If she is going to wear sky high heels, she towers everybody around her. Anna Wintour not wearing heels is breaking news. Did she take the advise of Andre Leon Talley?
Looking at the several designers collections for winter 2009/2010 it’s stll sky high heels all around.
I know, this is getting a bit annoying. Another Jimmy Choo. I just had to feature it. I wrote about leopard print getting a trend a few posts ago. Animal print is already a trend for some time now. And again, that is something you love or you hate it. I must say not all animal prints are successfull and it also depends a lot to the matching of the clothes.
Still, these zebra print Jimmy Choos pumps are a winner for me. Very high on my wishlist. Although I guess it will remain on my wishlist. The shoes can be ordered at Colette for € 595.
A multicoloured python impression glitter pump. A typical love it or hate it shoe. And I love it! No, not because it’s a Jimmy Choo. Ok, I admit, maybe a tiny little bit.
These pumps are part of the Fall-winter pre-collection 2009/2010 and can be ordered for € 435 at Collette.
I’m not a fashion journalist, I’m just a simple girl with a shoe addiction. Looking around at other shoe blogs, designer websites and fashion magazines I’m going to pick out two -seems to become- upcoming trends in the world of shoes.
Leopard print; It’s everywhere around.
And Over The Knee; Many designers have a couple of OTK boots in the collection.
